Hersham Green Shopping Centre Development Proposals
July 2023 Update
On behalf of the development companies involved, Cascade Communitactions have recently written to residents updating them on the proposals to develop Hersham Green Shopping Centre and the next steps for consultation.
Last year, they consulted the community on the initial ideas to deveolop Hersham Green Shopping Centre. The events were attended by over 600 local residents.
Some of the key issues discussed at the events related to the design, the number of new homes, traffic matters and other local impacts.
Since last autumn, the devlopment company have taken the time to consider feedback and how the proposals can be adapted to deliver a scheme that meets local shopping needs, provides new housing and delivers long term benefits.
The companies involved will be continuing their engagement with the local community and will be bringing forward a revised set of proposals for the Hersham Green Shopping Centre development.
It has been confirmed that there will be additional drop-in consultation events where residents can view the revised plans, talk to the project team and leave feedback.
The drop-in events will be held be held in Unit 11/12 of Hersham Green Shopping Centre, which is the former Martin’s Shop on:
• Thursday 13 July from 3pm-7pm
• Saturday 15 July from 10am-2pm
There will also be an online presentation held on Monday 17 July from 6pm-7pm.

It was announced last year that there are proposals proposals to develop Hersham Green Shopping Centre.
The development company and their comminucations team shared their initial ideas with local residents last year to show how the site could be completely redeveloped.
This was followed by public consultations across three days in September and October 2022, these were attended by over 600 local residents.
These were the high level concerns raised by local residents.
